No one will ever be able to tell this electrical outlet conceals a hidden color camera and mini DVR with an SD card to record what the camera sees. Plugging the electrical outlet into a wall plug powers the DVR and the camera.

This hidden camera features motion-activated recording that starts as soon as motion is detected. With motion-activation, you won't have to fast forward through hours of uneventful recording. Also has Motion Detection Area Masking. For example, if you have a dog or cat and don't want it to set off the motion detector, you can mask the lower quarter of the field of vision so it does not detect motion.

This camera uses 1/4 inch CCD technology (charged coupled device) for image sensing. This is the very same technology that is widely used in astrophotography to produce images of celestial objects light years away.  The lens is a 3.7mm wide angle. The resolution of the image produced is 380 lines. The camera does require some ambient light (night light/television). Minimum illumination is 1 Lux.

First, all of these cameras use only 2.4GHz transmitters that can send video signals up to three times further than other transmitters. The second important benefit concerns the battery packs. You have to supply power to your wireless and hidden cameras. Most often this is done with a battery pack. Most battery packs on the market can supply power for up to 5 hours. Then you must throw that pack away and buy a new one. However, the 12 volt battery packs that come with these cameras last up to a whopping 8 hours...and they are rechargeable! Third, is the image sensor used in these cameras. These cameras utilize CCD (Charged Coupled Device) Lens Technology. This is the very same technology that is widely used in astrophotography to produce images of celestial objects millions of light years away. There are cheaper lens/image sensors on the market but none of them produce the high quality images that can be gathered via CCD technology. CCD lenses are high resolution and highly sensitive to light, allowing them to record in outdoor and low-light conditions.

 

A quick word of warning:

Many of the surveillance cameras on the market today use 1.2GHz transmitters and receivers. The cameras sold here use only 2.4GHz transmitters and receivers. Why? The reason is that the 1.2GHz frequency is not approved by the FCC for transmitting wireless video. All of the cameras found here utilize the FCC approved 2.4GHz frequency. Don't be fooled. If you have the need for and intend to invest in a surveillance or hidden camera-get one that will do the job for which it was purchased!
