The C-2 is the smallest floor stander in the Raidho C series range. The speaker employs two ceramic 4.5” drivers configured in a 2.5 way system. The added low frequency capability paired with the superb high frequency planer ribbon makes the C-2 an outstanding performer that truly captures the size and drama of the music.

The Raidho Loudspeakers employ the very finest components, including Ceramic drivers which are hand built in house. The Raidho ribbon tweeter is unique and was the very starting point of the company. The new Raidho speakers utilize the very finest filters and crossover components in a topology unique to Raidho.

How many evolutionary steps does it take to make a revolution?

Loudspeaker technology has moved very little in the past 50 years, with small improvement in real terms, taking a long time to realize. But now a systematic reappraisal of fundamental principals has changed the rules. Designer Michael Boerresen has created a new standard when it comes to delivering the life and drama captured in a recording.

Evolutionary ? Yes
Revolutionary ? Absolutely

Overview
“Raidho Acoustics found all their efforts were rewarded with a musical and aesthetic result matching the highest ambitions.” Chris Thomas - HiFi+

Raidho C2.0 has a seductive expression - for both eye and ear - so it is hard to resist being bewitched by the beautifully crafted speaker with such a fine sound - where everything has been thought of! How can one describe the outstandingly magnificent sound? One thing enthusiasts will notice is the impressive speed at which the units work, with sounds starting precisely and ending in an absolute absence of sound, with no sonic echoes or noise.

While the Raidho C2.0 was being developed, attention was centred on creating a sensitive but dynamic experience of sound, and the reviewers agree: ”The C2.0 is an agile conjuror of a speaker, able to keep all the balls in the air at the same time. It is often an education to live with and I can do nothing but thoroughly recommend it." Chris Thomas - HiFi+

Raidho Ceramix Drivers

Raidho Acoustics has set path to develop the ultimate driver for loudspeakers. Looking at the driver market today one can see that not much has changed over the last decade. To Raidho there was little doubt that the ridged piston cone approach was the only right path to take in order to make the best possible Raidho dynamic Driver.

No Driver is better than the magnet motor, yet magnet systems have hardly changed in the last 50 years or so. To Raidho eodymium magnets has completely changed the possibilities of making a more compact and acoustically ventilated (transparent) magnet system. The Raidho magnet system consists of two rows on neodymium magnets placed in a push-pull configuration. Apart from creating a very controllable flux in the magnet gab. The configuration creates a very open structure, where the rear side of the membrane is subjected to very little mirror effect from the faceplate of the magnet structure. One must realize that sound is transmitted from both sides of the membrane and that a solid thick face plate acts like a mirror bouncing sound right back at the membrane again. Measurements on soft membranes like paper and PP indicates that this mirror signal is only damped by app 8-10 dB compared to the original signal, by the ceramic membrane the damping is much higher and appears more in the nature of compression as partial membrane movements is not possible on a piston type driver. The patented Raidho magnet system allows air to move more freely and generates far less compression than any other magnet system on the market. The sound improvement going from a traditionally built magnet system to the Raidho magnet system is huge.

Raidho Ribbon Tweeter FTT75

The Raidho Ribbon tweeter FTT75-30-8 is a unique sealed ribbon tweeter. The tweeter employs an array of neodymium magnets to create an extremely powerful force field where an ultra thin membrane is suspended. The membrane weighs less than 0.02 g. Due to low mass the tweeter stores no energy and has no resonances. The performance is extraordinaire and the tweeter leaves absolutely no fingerprint on the speaker system.
