Answers to questions from Bidders:
1) Question: Does the bone handle have more than one crack? is there a chip out of the handle near the screw that attaches the handle? I could not make it our in the pictures. Thanks.
- Answer: The ivory on the handle does have two stress lines appearing to be completely natural and seeming to have been there for years, also seeming to not be in danger of spitting or cracking, and appearing to never have been repaired. The screw attaching the handle to the reel (middle screw) does have marks from a screw driver twisting in the screw. Hope this information helps. Feel free to contact with any other questions. Thanks. CBP

Follow up to answer for question #1):I should mention that the screwdriver marks on the screws are in fact visible to the naked eye, but only on very close inspection. I viewed the screws under a lighted magnifier to detect any marks. In all, four of the screws could be considered to have marks, either from actual use of the reel, or a screwdriver (please see photos).

2) Question: Exact measurement of inside of spool is 1 3/8", correct? What is the total outside dimension (width) measurement of the reel? Thanks.- Answer: Correct, the inside of spool is 1 3/8" wide (same width as spool bars). The total outside dimension (width) of reel which includes end caps is: 1 13/16" . Diameter of reel is 1 3/4" (measuring across the round end caps - i.e., round end cap handle is attached to).
