This cable unlocks the hidden AUX function included in the factory BMW E46 headunit. Unlike other iPod/iPhone connectivity solutions this item WILL NOT remove the CD stacker capabilities of your car!

This cable allows you to connect an external audio source (ie DVD player, MD player, iPod, iPhone, Zune, Samsung, laptops, MP3 and MP4 players), etc. on your original BMW headunit. Anything which has a 3.5mm jack will plug in and work with your existing headunit!

Since it plugs into the AUX port directly on the back of the head unit, the sound quality is excellent with no static. 

You will need to remove the radio to fit this kit to your car, but this won't require any specialist tools and info, all you will need is a BMW E46 fitted with a widescreen monitor manufactured after October 2002, or another BMW model specified below.

Before you buy, please be sure that the connector will fit for your car. Please note that changing songs cannot be done through the steering wheel or headunit, only through the device. Volume controls will still work though!
