This blade was made of 1095 high carbon steel, and hand fully polished which makes the surface of the blade much bright like a mirror. After the below process, the blade has been throughlyclay tempered , first the back of blade is covered with a special clay, then the whole blade has been tempered and later quick cooled during quenching, this result in a harder edge. In this way, a beautiful real hamon on the blade comes into being as a result of the differential cooling of the blade between quenching and tempering. The whole blade is constructed with the hamon going all through the Boshi. The blade can be made very sharp or nonsharp according to the customers' requirement.

This handmade blade is hand forged, polished, and sharpened by our experienced smith during the whole proess in the most traditional Japanese craftmanship way.

Bo-hi is added to each side of the blade to ligthen the blade and balance the sword as a whole to make better operation.( If you don’t want the bo-hi, we can also do it for you, just contact us through ebay message)

 

 

 

This Tsuka is High Quality Rosewood, the material of rosewood are well known for its hardness, two Mekugi (peg) are nailed to secure the Tang of the sword. (Sword can be disassembled by picking up the two Mekugi (peg))

 

 

This saya is also made of High Quality Rosewood which is hard and tigetened.
