18 Inch Antique  Finish Spyglass Telescope

This is 18-inch Spyglass Telescope in antique  brass with brown leather sheath . This  telescope provides a bright and sharp, highly magnified non-inverted (upright) image

   and is 2 1/8-inches (5.5 cm) in diameter and 6 5/8 inches (16.8 cm) long when collapsed.  These 12-power telescope have four brass pipes,

 with the largest pipe being tapered ,A built-in sunshade extends to reduce lens flare.  When fully extended, the telescopes measure 17 5/8 inches (44.8 cm) long. 

      The diameter of the multi-coated objective lens is 37.25 mm.  This telescopes are solid, weighing approx. 600 grams.

The last tube is engraved with "W Ottway & co. Ltd Ealing, London 1914".It also comes with engraved plate  on front tube.

      Both are constructed entirely of threaded solid brass tubing and fittings with no glued components.
