These are new/unissued post WW2 surplus M1 OD chin straps. They're marked "U.S" and measure 10.5" total length. It has 4 grommets on either side for affixing to the banjo buckles on the helmet liner. They do have a sewn spot between the 3rd and 4th grommets on 1 side and they are suppose to be that way. This was typical on straps made between 1958 to 1981. The straps are made from a cotton canvas material and they will fit M1 Paratrooper helmet liners and WWll Airborne helmet rigs. The one pictured is a representation of the one you will receive.
