This is a huge hybrid wind and solar charge controller. Use

HOW
POWER DRAW DYNAMICS WORKS:
If you use it as a DIVERSION or DUMP load MODE then it uses no
power when it is NOT dumping (energy efficient sensing) In DISCONNECT mode it draws 0.2 amps but that's good since that
means you have to much power in your batteries anyhow.
The modern way to
monitor your battery from over charging
is to have a diversion load that performs another task such as
heating water when your battery is in danger of over charging.
Shutting down the output of your wind turbine or your other renewable
energy devices is old school thinking. Now-a-days most people
dump their excess power into some other legitimate device optimizing
their energy independence. Hot water from your excess power can
be used for radiant heating in the winter or even in the hot
summer months for washing cloths or dishes and for bathing. You
will always find a need for hot water in your life.
