SELLING  THIS WEEK from the old tackle in the shed? this very Fine spinning or margin rod 8'-6" Hardy Bros of Alnwick the "Egrett" Neo-Cane 2 piece heavy spinning rod to cast up to 50gr, rod in about mint unused condition,  red tiger strip whips tipped with black,  heavy stainless guides with large butt guide, rod as new, rare Hardy rod made from 1963 to 1965 only, very few seen , in original Hardy cloth bag,  rod numbered NE-3881, the rods do not appear in the 1960s catalogs, but I have a loose page flyer in my 1964 catalogue  giving the rod range and prices of the Neo-cane series of rods, Neo cane was used when the supply of Palakona was not available from China , but it is as high a quality as Palakona cane, ( Hardy would never use a inferior product ) rod in cloth bag/  (R-2301 )
