RARE ANTIQUE COMMEMORATIVE TRANSFER CREIL & MONTEREAU PLATE FROM THE FREINDSHIP BETWEEN FRANCE AND RUSSIA C 1896:

The plate was commemorating the visit of Nicolas II and Alexandra in France in 1896 and this was shortly after their Coronation in Moscow. France and Russia were very close and official visits succeed one after the other.

 The typical shaped creamware transfer plate is printed with symbols of the Imperial Russian family.

The plate is stamped on the back in hollow with a little cross and M. Unsigned but the pattern is typical and well known from Creil & Montereau.
