Return Policy
PLEASE FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY OR A MINIMUM RESTOCKING FEE OF 15% WILL APPLY.
**All products must be returned in their original condition.
For any refunds to be considered the product being returned must be in its original condition with absolutely no sign of wear and tear, and be received back within 30 days from the date of our shipment.
Included in your package please include a copy of the packing list and your return form (which can be printed from our site) clearly indicating your reason for returning the product.
Returns must be in factory fresh, re-sellable condition, and you must include ALL original packaging, paperwork, and accessories.
The customer is held responsible for merchandise until it safely reaches our warehouse. To prevent damage, make sure the return is packaged correctly.
Insure the return package and save your tracking number! Make sure it is insured for the full value of the purchase. We are NOT responsible if your return merchandise is lost in the mail.
Return Instruction:
To help you avoid a return adjustment, our warehouse staff has provided a handy checklist to show you exactly how to ship a product back to us:
- Item must be in like-new condition
- Item must be in the complete original packaging
- All accessories that were originally included must be returned
- All literature that was originally included — manuals, warranty card, etc. — must be returned in new condition
- Double-box the product before shipping
- Use standard packing tape — no duct tape
- Do not write on the original box
- Affix shipping label with RA number

Warranty
Instruments:
Limited lifetime warranty applies only to original purchaser of instrument. Warranty does not cover strings. Warranty on pegs, chinrest, endpins and tailpieces is expressly limited to one year. Bridges are covered by warranty for a period of three months. Damage caused by neglect or misuse of instrument is not covered. Please note that exposure to excessive heat, cold, dryness, or moisture is considered neglect. Warranty is void if any repair or attempt to repair instrument adjustment is not covered by this warranty. Normal wear caused by normal use of items is not covered by this warranty. Please note that opening in an instrument's seams are common. Because of the nature of wood and its reactions to seasonal changes, Sky Music Strings instruments have been made using traditional hide glue to ensure that seasonal swelling or shrinking of the wood will not result in cracks to the wood, but rather in simple-to-repair seam openings. The Sky Music Strings warranty does not cover seam openings. To avoid seam openings or cracks caused by extreme or sudden changes in temperature or humidity, please protect your instrument by maintaining humidity levels between 40% and 70%, and do not expose your instrument to temperatures above or below those generally found comfortable by people (roughly 55-90 degrees Fahrenheit).
Limited lifetime warranty applies only to original purchaser of bow. Hair is not covered by warranty, except for its installation. (In other words, if a bow's original hair falls out, that is covered.) Original hair installation is covered for a period of six months. Damage caused by neglect or misuse of bows is not covered. Damage caused by normal wear is not covered. Warranty is void if any repair or attempt to repair bow by customer or by an unauthorized repair person has been made. Wooden bows react to changes in temperature and humidity. One common result of exposure to extremes of temperature of humidity is warpage. The Sky Music Strings warranty does not cover warpage. Please also note that bows left tight for long periods of time are likely to warp. To protect your bow from warping, always be sure to loosen it after playing. Bone or imitation ivory tips plates are designed to protect the bow's fragile tips. These can be damaged either by dropping or hitting of the bow tip , or by hair wedges that are installed too tightly. For this reason, Sky Music Strings limits its warranty of tip plates to one year, or until the first re-hair, whichever comes first. The sticks of Carbon Fiber bows and fiberglass bows and carbon composite bows are warranted for life against warpage and breaking. The finish of these bows is not covered by warranty. Warranty applies only to original purchaser of case. Damage caused by either normal wear, or by misuse or neglect is not covered. Sky Music Strings' warranty responsibilities and liabilities are limited to repair or replacement of defective cases for one year from the date of purchase. Damage to instruments, bows, or other personal property being stored or transported in Sky Music Strings cases is not covered by this or any other Sky Music Strings warranty.
Restrictions: Instruments: this limited one year warranty applies only to original purchaser of instrument. The warranty is void if any repair or attempt to repair instrument by customer or by an unauthorized repairperson has been made. This warranty does not cover: damage, deterioration, or malfunctioning due to accident, misuse, abuse, or improper operation of any instrument which has been altered or on which the serial number has been altered, defaced, or removed of normal wear and periodic maintenance deterioration due to perspiration, corrosive atmosphere, or external causes such as extreme temperature or humidity. Springs, felt parts, accessories, swabs, cleaning cloths, or mouthpieces of any evidence of alteration, erasing or forgery of proof-of-purchase documents will void the warranty. Cases: This limited one year warranty applies only to original purchase of a case, purchased either with an instrument or purchased separately. Damage caused by either normal wear, or by misuse or neglect is not covered. Sky Music warranty responsibilities and liabilities are limited to repair or replacement of defective cases for one year from the date of purchase. Damage to instruments, or other personal property being stored or transported in Sky Music cases is not covered by this or any other Sky Music warranty.
