What helmet size do I have?

When you buy a crash helmet, it is important to choose the right size. The helmet size is easy to put himself firmly with a tape measure. Full Face

Who wants to play it safe, I protect the best with a full-face helmet. The full-face helmet offers the best protection against facial injuries. The stable outer shell protects against impact and puncture injuries and distribute the forces. For the preparation of helmet shells thermosetting or thermoplastic materials are mainly used.

The most important feature of a helmet at all is the fit. Even if no head is exactly like another, there are a few general tips for the right choice: The helmet should sit tight and firm, without pressing. Bruises are signs of too-tight helmet.   Helmets that fit closely in the cheek area, sit more stable at higher speeds. A narrow entrance is also some getting used to when dressing and undressing, but ensures lower driving noise.

Full Face polycarbonate

Polycarbonate helmets are molded from thermoplastic materials. Thermoplastic models are generally cheaper than thermoset models. The outer shell is made of plastic pellets in injection molding machine. This material has the next higher weight to a lower resistance to aging and is sensitive to solvents. Coatings, adhesives and organic solvents such as gasoline and alcohol attack the material at no outward signs. Therefore only warm soapy water may be used to clean the helmet shell.
