~ Circa 1880 Fine Scottish Terrier Dog Ink Well ~

The inkwell has been made into the head of a highly detailed Scottish Terrier dog. His eyes are made from what appears to be marble giving it a realistic stare, the copper cast to look like flowing fur. Around his neck is a colour. His mouth opens wide, revealing the ink well.

The inkwell is based on a circular raised brass base with a border around the dogs neck.

~ Dimensions ~

The inkwell has a height of 5.5 inches (14 cm). The base has a diameter of 6.7 inches (17 cm).
It weighs 1.45 kg.

~ Condition ~

Some light oxidisation to the head, minor dents to the edges of the base but it remains in good condition.
