Description: A beautiful Art Deco style brooch by French designer Pierre Bex, who made this range of vintage style jewellery from 1969 til the end of the 1980s.

Antique silverplated (a layer of silver over copper to give an authentic vintage appearance).

Handlaid enamel with a lustrous highly reflective glaze.

French barrel fastener (very secure).

5.5 cm (just over 2 inches) long.

Perfect condition.

Artist/designer info: Pierre Bex jewellery was made from 1969 until the end of the 1980s. The designs are handcrafted using molds and stampings dating back to the late 1800s. The jewellery is no longer in production, which means that it is becoming increasingly difficult to find, especially the more exquisite pieces.
The wonderful Art Nouveau and Art Deco designs are brought to life with the use of 'antique silver' (an old process of placing a layer of silver over copper), colourful enamel and sparkling rhinestones. The brooches/pins have the French barrel lock fastener and are sometimes signed 'Pierre Bex' on the back. Although these pieces are later reproductions of early to mid 1900s style, they are considered vintage pieces and certainly look the part!
