EARLY  NAPOLEONIC OFFICERS SWORD WITH  ANDREA FERARRA  LISBOA BLADE

This is a rare Napoleonic  Portuguese officers rapier model 1806.  It has a super early flexible sharp blade bearing traces of the words Ferrara and Lisboa. Other examples of the 1806 model are seen with 17th cent blades.. Examples of blades with this Ferara mark also  include early Scottish baskethilts.  The blade 32 on this sword inches long. The hilt is brass with slight movement in the guard. A rare and nice Napoleonic peninsular sword with early blade and low reserve.
