** Approx 1000 small seeds **
Hardy evergreen
perennial
A very
adaptable plant with a rosette of attractive bronze-tinged green leaves and
tall stems of deep scarlet flowers. Fragrant
flowers sit on strong 30cm stems and come out from May to July. Good summer and winter plants and suitable
for borders and containers. Good cut flowers.
Heuchera grows
best in full sun to part shade and moist, well drained soil. Plants tolerate some shade.
Sow anytime,
most commonly January to May, for planting out the same year. Can be started sooner for early flowering,
preferably protecting the seedlings over winter in a cold frame or
greenhouse. Sow in a tray of seed compost, keep at around
20 degrees Celcius and germination takes 2-3 weeks, sometimes erratically up to
2 months. Sowing instructions and a
colour photo are printed on the packet.
