Follow Focus Gear Ring for Super & Multi-Coated Takumar M42 Lenses, Seamless No Joints!
This seamless bespoke Lens Gear is a custom fit and perfectly shaped to match the “knurly” focus ring on your classic Super & Multi-Coated Takumar M42 lens.
The gear is accurately sized to be a tight fit so it won’t work loose. To fit, simply push it on by hand – no tools are required.
Please note the Asahi company manufactured numerous versions of their lenses and each version is a slightly different size.
So before ordering you must identify precisely the Product Code for your lens otherwise the gear will not fit correctly! (see the last listing photograph for instructions).

Each gear is manufactured from ABS plastic making them strong and long lasting. They are made to the industry standard 0.8 Module tooth form to mesh with your follow focus rig.
Special Requirements?
· “I prefer the same number of teeth across all of my lenses”
You may wish all of your Lens Gears to have the same number of teeth so they are all the same size. This can save time when on location and swopping lenses. We can manufacture our Lens Gears with up to 200 teeth or more than twice the standard number! There is a modest extra charge for this, please contact us with your exact requirements.
· “I have some lenses made by another company – can you help?”
We can manufacture a seamless Lens Gear to fit any lens as long as we have accurate measurements.
We can even manufacture a seamless Lens Gear where the two adjacent parts of the lens body are a larger diameter than the focus grip diameter itself. For example the Sigma DC EF 17-50mm F2.8 HSM EX Series lens.

Our Lens Gears are designed, manufactured and shipped from the UK and as we are film-makers ourselves we are very confident that you will be happy with them.
However, if for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your Lens Gear, please send it back to us for a full refund including the return shipping costs.
Other Terms
UK shipments will be free and by 2nd class post to keep the costs down, this can take up to 5 days. Faster options are also available if required, please contact us with your specific requirements.
International deliveries will be sent by Royal Mail International Standard. This typically takes 7 to 10 working days but can be longer due to factors outside of our control.
Extra customs duties and charges may be incurred for non-UK customers and are the responsibility of the buyer.
