Approximately 21 1/2" x 21 1/2" by 5 1/2" Unstained carved wood with shoji paper screens.  Light and mechanism are Japanese standard but could easily be replaced with a new light fixture inside.  Photos of the actual round fixture included.  Please see all photos.   The plug is broken but seems as though wiring is in tact.  I purchased this while living in Japan and it hung in our Tatami room for 3 years.  We had intentions of hanging it in a tatami room here in the USA but the new house didn't have room for one! 

We are moving again and clearing out storage!
