This is a lovely and rare example of a simple Georgian IN MEMORIAM 9 ct gold  RING!  It has amandine and mandarin garnets. The setting is gently rubbed with age but still is very attractive. The inside of the shank in inscribed M.A.C.T. An extremely collectible ring. Very simply made ring per the quality of the jewellers of the time in terms of finish although it is a very elaborate act of gold smithing.

The ring is made from 9ct rose gold so was made for a high status individual as gold was not available to the vast majority of people at that time only the rich. Very ornate gold smithing on the shank of the ring and on the external shank ring as well.
