Tighten the collar very firmly onto your propane cylinder then hold the loop and turn the cylinder and aluminum collar together to open and close the gas valve.
Make sure the collar stays firmly screwed onto the cylinder and does not come loose. A rubber gasket in the collar seals against the tank or cylinder to prevent gas leak.
