Victorian antique solid hallmarked silver playing card case or box.
Markers mark stamped to the outside of the lid and inside the box for William Comyns & Son of London.
Registered and a silversmith from 1884 to 1915 using this mark.
It measures 9.7cm 3 3/4 inches tall by 7 cm 2 3/4 inches wide and 4.45 cm 1 3/4 inches deep.
The silver weight is 147.2 grams.
The condition is very good with some very miner signs of age in the form of a few light bumps. There is also a split to the right side of the lid but this would be an easy repair if you wished to get it done.
A lovely piece of antique silver.
