CFK & IPAK POLICIES AND FINE PRINT

WELCOME TO CFK

CFK Cutlery Co. is a private knife manufacturer for the CFK knife brand. We sell our entire handmade knife inventory below dealer wholesale, direct to our customers. There are never any dealer mark-ups or retail catalog mark-ups added, we pass these savings onto you. We believe we have the highest quality handmade knives on eBay & Amazon. Look no further for the best value for your money.

WHAT WE DO

CFK sources its metals from Germany, Japan, and Sweden and our handle materials are sourced from all over the world, including the USA.  The knives are handmade in the UK by a contract knife company. The finished knives and leather sheaths are then imported to the United States.  We use several USA craftsmen (Yellow Hawk or SC Holsters) to handcraft leather and kydex sheath systems for our customers. We are fortunate to have famous Navajo's Brian & David Yellowhorse to customize many of our finished blades and we also have other professional knife makers customize our blades from time to time.

LIFETIME REPLACEMENT KNIFE GUARANTEE

This knife has a Lifetime Replacement Guarantee. Our knives are made very well. We guarantee the new knives for life. If you break one of our knife blades or knock the handles apart, we will help you pick out a new knife from our current stock to replace the damaged one for free. You must return the knife & sheath with the Certificate of Authenticity card that comes with each knife. No replacements will be given without the Certificate of Authenticity Card and the associated record number on it. Scratches, blade chips, broken knife tips, blade edge dings, wear & tear, re-sharpening errors, corrosion, rusting, pitting, carbon-burs, and tarnish of the knife are not covered by the guarantee. The sheaths are not covered by the replacement guarantee.

SECONDS AND KNIVES SOLD WITH DEFECTS: The Lifetime Replacement Guarantee is VOID on defective items and will come with a special Certificate of Authenticity denoting it is not covered under the replacement.

PAYMENT POLICY: Please pay in 4 days after winning our items. There is no other selling format in the world that allow grace on payment other than eBay. On the 5th day, Unpaid Item Reminders will be opened on all sales.

COMBINED SHIPPING: You can combine items into shipping boxes to save money. If you win 2 knives, these will go in a flat rate box for 12.90. You will not save on the postage unless you buy 3 or more items. A quality of 3-7 knives, 13" and under overall length knives, can fit in a Medium Flat Rate Box for $13.90. 8 - 12, 13"-18" knives can fit in a Large Flat Rate Box for $18.90. Larger swords and some machetes will be determined by weight due to their lengths being larger than the box. Some of our swords and larger axes do not fit in large flat rate boxes and will ship using Priority Mail by weight and your zip code. At anytime the post office raises rates, so will our prices.

HOW OUR DAMASCUS IS MADE: All our Damascus is real and not just an acid etch. Damascus is a mixture of 1095HC or 1084HC and 15N20 nickel carbon. You heat them up together and then fold the bar over and over to get the desired layers, ours are 512 layers. Then you burn the blade in acid, and it turns the nickel satin color and the high carbon turns blackish gray. This is how the layers are exposed to show the layers of the new steel created coined "Damascus".  All Damascus is acid etched to show the layers. If you high polish the metal it will be shinny satin like all steels. Only after you burn the sides of the blade with acid do you see the layers of the two steels. Makes sense? After we make our knives we high polish the handles and put an edge on the blade. The high polishing buffs off the acid burned layer of the handle, and the blade edge is sharpened and the acid burned edge becomes satin. You can re-burn the tang of the blade near the handles and the edge of the blade and it will show the layers once more.

UNITED STATES POST OFFICE: When we print the postage label there is a number that is on the label. This number is called a "Delivery Confirmation Number". The post office is not like UPS or FEDX where they scan the mail at the receipt point and then track it to your door. What the post office does is scan the item when it is delivered (if they choose to) and then you will see that it was delivered. Sometimes they do scan it when you drop it off, but this is rare. If they did scan it at a sorting facility, you see it moving across the USA. But this is very rare.

- eBay confuses the buyer with the "tracking number" next to the post offices "delivery confirmation number" when in reality there is not a tracking number.  You can ask this at the post office and they will concur. We print labels off the internet using eBay's USPS shipping program and then we drop the packages off at the post office, similar if you were mailing a stamped letter. The post office is supposed to scan it "received" and they do this about 50% of the time. But sometimes they do not scan them. Do not worry, we did mail the item and it is on it's way to you.

BUYER FEEDBACK AND (DSR) SCORES: We spend a lot of time trying to describe our knives 100% perfect in detail, but sometimes we miss things.  In the event that we missed something, upon inspection of the item when you receive it, let us know by contacting us via the "Contact Seller" link (next to our user ID profile) and allow us to solve your problem before leaving us low DSR scores (Detailed Seller Ratings) or neutral and negative feedback.

- Help us, help ourselves to do better, with our future business on eBay by allowing us to correct our faults and fix the sale with you to a positive. We need to keep our scores high (4's and 5's) to continue to offer our great knives for sale on eBay.

KNIFE CARE and SHEATHS: Leather sheaths pull moisture out of the air and tend to rust knife blades if not stored properly. When you are done using the knife, store it away from the leather sheath and put gun oil, Seal1, or a similar protectant on the blade and store. Damascus, 1095HC, and D2 can rust and develop stains if not lubricated.
