Tokina 500MM F8 with case and auxiliary filter.

This extraordinary long lens at 500mm is superb. It uses a series of mirrors to magnify the subject (similarly to how a telescopes works) rather than the traditional way of using optics. The disadvantage of the optical method is the lens has to be long and with the amount of elements used makes the lens un wieldy, heavy and conspicuous.

A mirror lens therefore is shorter and lighter, however the aperture is fixed at F8.

Made by Tokina this lens is made to high standards, the build quality is superb with an all metal construction.

This lens is ideal for long distance/ inaccessible subjects such as at air shows, trains, landscape and bird watching ect

The lens is in the Pentax K mount and will mount with all the current DSLR and film cameras.

It has 3 original filters that fit into a special folder that fits into the case, they are wrapped and have the original key to unscrew the filter.

The lens has the  original lens hood and caps.

External condition: Very good some minor marks here or there but nothing major.

Optically: There is a couple of spots of fungus and dust internally.
