USN F-14 Tomcat VF-102 CV-66 NAS Oceana 1989 8x12 Photo


Photo Description: A left side view 8x12 photo of a United States Navy Grumman F-14A Tomcat aircraft ( BuNo 161150 ) of Fighter Squadron VF-102 Diamondbacks parked on flight line probably at its home base NAS Oceana Virginia. At the time VF-102 was assigned to the aircraft carrier USS America CV-66. Photo was probably taken between two deployments in 1989. Sadly this aircraft and its crew were lost while assigned to VF-32 on 14 September 1994 in a mid air collision with another F-14 Tomcat.
