Vintage thick paper plate with collotype photos, from an early 20th-century French portfolio on avant-garde stage design - amazing set design inspired by Expressionism, Constructivism, Cubism, et cetera. The plate is richly printed in collotype on thick paper stock, illustrating a production of “La Tour de Babel,” by Polish dramatist Andreas Slominski, performed by the Theater Polonais in Warsaw in 1928. Scenography by Leon Schiller, décor by Slivinski. Rare theatrical and scenography piece would look superb framed. Total dimension of plate is 15" by 11". In excellent condition save for light age toning and teeny tears to edges and small number stamp in bottom right corner, all of which canframe out. Please note my scanner could not capture the entire breadth of the plate.
