This unit synchronizes over the CDMA cellular network, and the antenna (not included) can be installed indoors -- anywhere a cellular signal can reach. You do not need to mount the antenna on the roof like GPS units.
The device has been reset to factory defaults, and the appliance firmware, CDMA firmware and kernel have all been upgraded to the latest versions. The IPv6-capable kernel was installed. This unit has a TCXO oscillator.
