BREAKABLES/LOSS/REFUNDS
I always wrap & pack all of my items with the utmost care with lots of bubble wrap & cushioning material. Couriers & the Royal Mail have a 'restricted list' & DO NOT compensate for damage to 'fragile' items, even when added insurance is paid.
In light of this exclusion I would ask you to NOT buy, offer or bid on a fragile item unless you are prepared to take the unlikely risk of your item being damaged. I will NOT refund if a fragile item which is included on their 'restricted list' is damaged. This unfortunately is sold & sent at your risk entirely.
Of course, if you receive a non fragile item that is damaged in transit then I would make a claim but you would have to send clear & detailed photographs of the damage & also of the inner & outer packing. Without these photographs & details of how & where the parcel was delivered then they will not accept the claim. Once the claim has been settled I will fully refund you for the item. They do offer compensation for items that are lost in transit & of course I would claim in that instance & fully refund you whether fragile or not.
It really is a nightmare situation because if they treated the parcels with care then none of these words would be necessary. Thank you.
