Here is a large Double Sided (Two Faced) Royal Doulton Character Jug entitled KING ARTHUR and GUINEVERE from the Star Crossed Lovers Series issued as a limited edition of only 9500 in 1989.

The jug was designed by Stanley James Taylor and the Royal Doulton reference is D6836

The jug's handle is modelled as a Sword (Excalibur) on the King Arthur side, and as a Chalice on the Guinevere side.

The jug stands 6 1/2" high and weighs about 900 grams unpacked.

The jug is First Quailty, is fully backstamped and numbered 1405 of 9500 (see photo).

The jug is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.
