Hello folks, up for sale today is a super mint factory original digital ETR AM/FM stereo radio with 5-band equalizer, auto-reverse cassette tape player with search function, and AM Stereo that was taken out of a 1988 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz. This stereo is the factory Cadillac only "Symphony Sound" model which has a much better overall sound than any of the stereo systems GM being offered at the time. This radio was an upgrade stereo system option specifically for the 1986-1991 Cadillac Seville, Seville Elegante, STS (Seville Touring Sedan), Eldorado, Eldorado Biarritz, & ETC (Eldorado Touring Coupe). This radio will also fit and work perfectly into many other GM cars and trucks from late 1980's throughout the 1990's as well.

This radio is in super mint, 100% working condition. The radio was cleaned inside and out, adjusted and lubed. I have tested the radio and it works very well by picking up many stations on both the FM & AM frequencies. When the stereo receives a FM stereo broadcast, the "Stereo" indicator lights up brightly in a light green color. The pushbuttons also work very well and push in very easily, and for storing and recalling the set stations. The stereo also has the SEEK/SCAN features built in. The SEEK feature allows the radio to pick the next best received station without turning the knob. The SCAN feature will do it automatically, staying on each station for five seconds before moving to the next. The "SCAN" indicator will light up for whenever the stereo is in SCAN mode. The vacuum fluorescent digital readout is in excellent working condition, with no parts of the characters of the numerals are burned out or dull, and have a very nice light green color to them. Please note that this radio does not contain a digital clock, as the clock is located in the driver's information center.

The cassette tape player also works perfectly. I tested three cassette tapes and they all played extremely well. The tapes play very clear with no sound distortions or garble. The capstans and head were cleaned, and the speed of the tape was correctly adjusted. The fast forward and reverse switches also works very well, with a quick and quiet motion. The two original belts are still very tight and pliable to give you many years of future usage. The tape inserts and ejects nicely. The auto reverse feature also works correctly, with pushing in the top knob automatically plays the other side of the tape; the tape will also switch sides automatically when it is finished playing on one side. The correct tape LED light comes on for whichever direction the cassette tape is playing. cassette player also has a search function which also works excellent. The search function, which when turned on, will automatically advance to the next song or rewind to the beginning of the current song. The radio will display a LED under the "On" indicator whenever the search mode is switched on.

The 5-band equalizer also work 100% correctly. All 5 bands slide easily with no outside noise or distortion, and has strong sound throughout. This allows you to fine tune the sound to your satisfaction. The loudness control also works perfectly and gives the radio an extra boost in sound when used with the 5-band equalizer. All of the original light bulbs are also working perfectly; simply click the picture of the radio being illuminated in the dark to view for yourself.

Cosmetically the stereo is in near perfect condition, as it looks close to brand new and can be easily installed into a show or museum car. All of the brushed stainless buttons have an excellent silver color to them with no peeling, heavy wear, or scratching, and is very bright. The face is also in super mint condition as it has a very nice black matte finish with no heavy scratches or fading. The digital display lens cover is clear with no scratches or marks. All of the font is crisp and clear and looks great. The tape door is also in super mint condition with no scratches or wear. The original decal tags are still attached to the top and back of the radio chassis, and all look perfect. The factory GM part # for this radio is 16058406. The correct original stainless turned Cadillac wreath outer knobs and brushed stainless inner knobs are included and are also in super mint condition. The correct top dash mounting bracket is also included and are currently installed onto this radio; however these can be easily removed to be mounted into a different style dashboard. For an additional $15, I will also include the harness plugs that connect to the back of the radio; however the winning buyer must contact me when the listing ends as it is available at your request.
 
This radio is 100% factory correct for the 1986-1991 Cadillac Seville, Seville Elegante, STS (Seville Touring Sedan), Eldorado, Eldorado Biarritz, & ETC (Eldorado Touring Coupe). This radio will also fit and work perfectly into many other GM cars and trucks from late 1980's throughout the 1990's as well that use the newer style smaller harness plug connectors in the back of the radio.
