Sajou Museum & Heritage Collection Cross Stitch Chart- Harold's Embarkment

 Welcome to my shop!

A beautiful Sajou Museum and Heritage Collection cross stitch chart showing Harolds embarkment depicted in the Bayeux Tapestry.

The scene shows the ill fated crossing of Harold to Normandy in 1063/4, which resulted in his forced landing and ensuing imprisonment by Count Guy of Ponthieu following a storm at sea.

The size of the motif is 370 x 95 points, if sewn onto 32 count embroidery linen the size would be 62 x 16 cm.

The pattern chart is A3 size, printed in mat and can be written on should you need to mark any references.

There are other embroidery charts and kits inspired by the Bayeux Tapestry, which can be found in my shop along with other embroidery charts and kits inspired by the designs and history of Toile du Jouy.

Sajou produce haberdashery items made in France to the highest standards (in some cases even produced on the original old machinery). Perfect for gifts and collectors, and for those of you unable to resist a quality that is seldom found in today's mass produced haberdashery products.

Sajou was created in 1828 by Jaques- Simon Sajou, selling haberdashery for embroidery, tapestry, lace, crochet and weaving. His pattern albums are sought after to this day by collectors worldwide. In 2005 the Sajou brand was purchased and revived by avid collector; Frederique Crestin- Billet. Many of the old designs have been faithfully reproduced and there are some new designs that have been added in the Sajou style

Please pay for your order within 3 days, unless by prior arrangement with myself. If you are having problems making your payment, please get in touch and I will see how best I can accommodate or assist you. All unpaid items will result in the item being relisted and an unpaid item case opened against the buyer.

I love to combine postage and I am happy to ship worldwide, offering both standard and signed for services.

Your order will be sent packaged with the utmost care using recyclable packaging where possible.  I post items Monday to Friday and I try to post as much as possible the same day, but this is only a guaranteed service for purchases made before  12 pm GMT. I charge a small fee of £0.50 for packaging costs which is included in the postage price.

Any taxes incurred at customs are the responsibility of the buyer as are any extra insurances beyond that of the chosen courrier service. I will only write the true value of goods on customs slips.

Please note the date and cost of postage on the stamp and do not hold me responsible for any postal costs or delays that are due to Royal Mail and therefore outwith my control and not on my part.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.

The textiles that I sell are vintage and antique and have been pre loved and used. I endeavour to list all my items as honestly and accurately as possible, always noting and photographing any damage or flaws. The photos are part of the item description and may be enlarged if needs be.
