the faceplate is in excellent condition also the cover top and sides are in excellent condition there are some small marks on the cover the pictures show most of them. With the
recap this sounds absolutely incredible!!!! and I am sure better than it
originally sounded this model was made in 1973 and designed for USA and International use with multiple voltages. Elna
Silmic II
capacitors have a 100 hour break in period I have run the unit for about
20 hours for testing so that means that every time you listen to this
up to that 100 hour period it will keep sounding better so if you notice
a difference in sound each time you turn it on that is why. This is
very heavy about 50 pounds so the unit will be packed well. You will have
to be home to sign for this or the delivery service will not leave
it!! This unit has a 6 month warranty for repair, I rebuild Sansui
amps I will also trade or buy your non working Sansui unit if
interested please email me.
Please do not be fooled, there are a lot of units listed as
serviced and
professionally restored the case might of just been polished and maybe
the
potentiometers cleaned, and some have the capacitors replaced but not the main filter caps well they are just as old and are bad, electrolytic capacitors have a life of about 35
years any 70's or before and even 80's unit have capacitors that could
go bad at any time if you are going to spend money on a older unit make
sure ALL, including the large main filter caps, the electrolytic capacitors have been replaced or you could be wasting your
money and make sure it has some sort of warranty!!
Thank You

Hi
there.
The Sansui AU-717 arrived in Singapore last Thursday. I have been
playing it ever since. Thanks for a superb job refurbishing the insides
of the amp. Looked near mint and smelled like it was straight out of
the factory in 1977! It was everything I read about it and more. Not
only was it tube like in sound but put out loads of power it is by far one of the best sounding amps I ever heard! I have not
turned the volume much beyond the 8 o clock position. So I really did not mind paying your slightly higher price on
eBay! All the best.
