This is an auction for an original ladies Gold Rolex Rose 9ct Gold cocktail watch with Rolex factory case imported through Glasgow as it should be in 1923 with an import date stamp for "a" representing 1923 and also the double "F" back to back for the import through Glasgow assay office, at this period Glasgow was the import center for all Rolex watches and almost all early gold and silver Rolex watches have either Glasgow or some times Dublin Import marks.

The case is in super condition with no holes or restoration and its the solid 3 section case which is also reference numbered inside for 3634.

The movement is fully wound but looks to be dry oil and years of sat in a draw as the winding seems stiff and it will tick when pressure is exerted through the winding train and the watch ticks until pressure is removed.

I think from memory the movement is the 9 3/4 Hunter Rolex "Prima" timed 6 ways and for temperatures so its the same as the early ladies oyster movement.

The dial is original and so also are the hands, the dial is signed for the retailer "Pidduck , Hanley" this is Henry Pidduck & Sons who are a very famous and prestigious English Jeweler who where established in 1841.

The hands are the classic Rolex Brequet from this period, sold now as a restoration watch that is in great as found shape.

This watch in this estate find good condition is a rare find and will make a great retail watch when serviced and cleaned up.

Please look at the images closely as they represent an important part of the description, thanks.
