Vintage 1950's Sheaffer III Snorkel Black Fountain Pen. It has a 14k gold nib, which is inscribed Sheaffer, 14k, USA. It was advertised as 'The pen for men'. It measures 14cms /5 1/2" long. It has the white dot on the gold clip (no gold mark). The pen is in good condition with age and use related minor marks and scratches. There are three hairline cracks, two near edge of screw opening and the other near edge of snorkel screw end. See photos one is very difficult to photo but I have tried. The snorkel end comes out and retracts neatly back nicely. However the pen has not been fully tested. This does not come ina case.
This is a very stylish pen and highly sought after and collectable.
