Nikon FM2 Body: Chrome

This is a fine example of the first version of the FM2, fitted with the titanium honeycomb shutter. It is in really excellent condition. The only real signs of use are some scuffing on the eyepiece lens surround (which is probably a replacement, as they are frequently lost), and some very fine cleaning marks on the mirror. It has clearly been used, but with extreme care.

New seals have been fitted. The mirror damper pads are original and in perfect order.

The mechanics are faultless. The shutter is smooth and crisp across the entire range. Film advance, guides and rewind all equally spot-on. Even the self-timer runs... like clockwork!

I have checked the "match-needle" metering and it agrees closely with my F801. I have installed a new CR1/3N lithium battery, which should be good for a decade or so... As the battery supplies only the metering circuit, the life is pretty much the shelf life.
