Offered here is an antique key wind cathedral gong chime black enameled wood case mantel clock by the E. Ingraham Clock Company of Bristol, Conn.

Featuring a solid wood wood cabinet with carved accents, gold painted lion heads on each side, gold painted feet,

faux marble panels, an unusual black face dial with Roman numerals, gold painted hands and bezel,

this clock is the 'Regent' model and it dates to 1878 as indicated on the original patent information stamped on the front plate of the movement.

The E. Ingraham name and Bristol, Conn. is also marked on the front plate.

The original label on the back has information and dates as well as the model name.

The movement is an
8 day all brass two train pendulum movement with strikes on each half hour, counting the hour on each hour.

There is a coiled cathedral gong chime that has a rich, pleasant sound, an original ornate cast metal pendulum bob and a winding key.

Clock speed adjustment is made with a horizontal wheel just above the hands on the front dial.

There are some minor marks on the case and a bit of wear on the dial.

This clock is running strong, keeping accurate time and chiming nicely.

Everything appears to be original and there is no damage or missing pieces.

The glass is clean and clear.

An included service note dated sometime after 1981 indicates a full overhaul, new springs, cleaning and adjustment.

Measurements are 10 3/4" tall x 17" wide x 7 1/2" deep. The dial face is 4 1/2" in diameter.
