Botanical name: Atropa belladonna
BELLADONNA LEAF, Botanical name: Atropa belladonna is widely used Natural Herbal Tea for Home Remedy in Homeopathic medicine, Home medicine and Herbal medicine. Herbal medicine refers to using a plants seeds, berries, roots, leaves, bark, or flowers for medicinal purposes.
Common Names: Belladonna. Devils Cherries. Naughty Mans Cherries. Divale. Black Cherry. Devils Herb. Great Morel. Dwayberry.
Habitat: Widely distributed over Central and Southern Europe, South-west Asia and Algeria; cultivated in England, France and North America.
Though widely distributed over Central and Southern Europe, the plant is not common in England, and has become rarer of late years.
Although chiefly a native of the southern counties, being almost confined to calcareous soils, it has been sparingly found in twenty-eight British counties, mostly in waste places, quarries and near old ruins. In Scotland it is rare.
Plant Description: The root is thick, fleshy and whitish, about 6 inches long, or more, and branching. It is perennial. The purplishcoloured stem is annual and herbaceous. It is stout, 2 to 4 feet high, undivided at the base, but dividing a little above the ground into three - more rarely two or four branches, each of which again branches freely.
The leaves are dull, darkish green in colour and of unequal size, 3 to 10 inches long, the lower leaves solitary, the upper ones in pairs alternately from opposite sides of the stem, one leaf of each pair much larger than the other, oval in shape, acute at the apex, entire and attenuated into short petioles.
First-year plants grow only about 1 1/2 feet in height. Their leaves are often larger than in full-grown plants and grow on the stem immediately above the ground. Older plants attain a height of 3 to 5 feet, occasionally even 6 feet, the leaves growing about 1 to 2 feet from the ground.
The whole plant is glabrous, or nearly so, though soft, downy hairs may occur on the young stems and the leaves when quite young. The veins of the leaves are prominent on the under surface, especially the midrib, which is depressed on the upper surface of the leaf.
The fresh plant, when crushed, exhales a disagreeable odour, almost disappearing on drying, and the leaves have a bitter taste, when both fresh and dry.
The flowers, which appear in June and July, singly, in the axils of the leaves, and continue blooming until early September, are of a dark and dingy purplish colour, tinged with green, large (about an inch long), pendent, bell-shaped, furrowed, the corolla with five large teeth or lobes, slightly reflexed.

The most of our Dried Herbs and Spices are Wild crafted and some of them are Organically grown, and Naturally Dried.Naturally Dried means these products have not gone through any machinery in order to extract the moisture.
Organic means the plants have been grown by natural means on unpolluted land without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. They have not been fumigated, irradiated, sulphured,bleached or genetically altered.
Wild crafted means that they have been picked from their wild or natural setting, and are not cultivated. They are grown in their natural environment without human intervention. All of our Wildcrafted products are harvested by the companies we buy from in a conscientious manner following the standard Wild crafted guidelines.
All dried herbs and spices are packed in clear paper bags. According to the requirements for the storage and packaging of herbs and herbal tea, GIFT FROM NATURE cares about its customers as packaged herbs and herbal mixtures in opaque paper envelopes - special paper PAP 22 for nutritional purposes in accordance with BS EN 26590-1. Thus, the herbs are kept in the best possible way - no contact with light and moisture, with the ability to breathe through the paper. Since light oxidized active ingredients in the herbs is disadvantageous herbs to be stored in plastic bags. We advise that they be kept from sunlight, heat and extreme temperature changes.
Upon your request, we will gladly provide you with a copy of a Certificate of Compliance from the companies we have purchased that particular product from. These documents will be emailed to you.
Our herbs and spices are the freshest you can possibly receive. We only order small amounts from our companies as we do not want to have any sitting around for any length of time before they reach you. We may at some point need to order more of a certain herb/spice and have it delivered to us prior to mailing to you. With this in mind, please be aware that you may need to wait up to 1 week for them to be shipped due to you.
Herbs and spices do not generally spoil, but they do lose some potency over time, which is why we offer the sizes we do. How they are stored will play a large role in how long they retain their potency. They should be kept in paper bags, in a cool, dark, dry place. Whole herbs can last up to 3 years, cut and sifted or ground will last up to 2 years.

Several factors for this include: the time of year the product was harvested, the climate and growing conditions, the harvesting process, which company we ordered the last batch from. Also affecting this is the resolution of the photos on individual computers.
