DWARF ELDER BERRIES, Botanical name: Sambucus ebulus l. is famous Herbal Detox Tea for Medical Treatment in Homeopathy, Holistic therapy and Homeopathic medicine. Researchers found that people in different parts of the world tended to use the same or similar plants for the same purposes.
Common Names: Dwarf Elder, Dwarf elderberry,Danewort,Walewort,Blood Hilder.
Habitat: This species is found less frequently in hedges, but inclines to waste places, not infrequently among rubbish and the ruined foundations of old buildings.
The celebrated natural historian of Selborne speaks of the Dwarf Elder as growing among the rubbish and ruined foundations of the Priory. Spots of equal interest with that of Selborne might be cited as favourite haunts of the Dwarf Elder.
It grows profusely near Carisbrooke Castle, below the timeworn walls of Scarborough Castle, beside the old Roman Watling Street, where it is crossed by the footpath from Norton to Wilton, in Northamptonshire.
Suitable for: light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils and can grow in heavy clay soil. Suitable pH: acid, neutral and basic (alkaline) soils. It can grow in semi-shade (light woodland) or no shade.
It prefers moist soil. The plant can tolerates strong winds but not maritime exposure.It can tolerate atmospheric pollution.
Plant Description: In leaf, flower and subsequent berry it bears a close resemblance to the Common Elder tree; the stem, however, is not woody and the leaves are distinguished by having a stipule, or small leaf, at the base of the finely-toothed leaflets, which are more numerous than those of the Common Elder, usually seven in number, larger and narrower and sometimes lobed.
The flowers are whiter than those of the Common Elder, the corollas splashed with crimson on the outside and have dark red anthers. They are in bloom in July and August, have a less aromatic smell and do not always bring their fruit, a reddishpurple berry, to perfect ripeness in this country.
The berries are, however, often present among imported Continental dried elderberries, the species being much more common there than here. In France it is called Hi?ble, in Germany Attichwurzel.

The most of our Dried Herbs and Spices are Wild crafted and some of them are Organically grown, and Naturally Dried.Naturally Dried means these products have not gone through any machinery in order to extract the moisture.
Organic means the plants have been grown by natural means on unpolluted land without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. They have not been fumigated, irradiated, sulphured,bleached or genetically altered.
Wild crafted means that they have been picked from their wild or natural setting, and are not cultivated. They are grown in their natural environment without human intervention. All of our Wildcrafted products are harvested by the companies we buy from in a conscientious manner following the standard Wild crafted guidelines.
All dried herbs and spices are packed in clear paper bags. According to the requirements for the storage and packaging of herbs and herbal tea, GIFT FROM NATURE cares about its customers as packaged herbs and herbal mixtures in opaque paper envelopes - special paper PAP 22 for nutritional purposes in accordance with BS EN 26590-1. Thus, the herbs are kept in the best possible way - no contact with light and moisture, with the ability to breathe through the paper. Since light oxidized active ingredients in the herbs is disadvantageous herbs to be stored in plastic bags. We advise that they be kept from sunlight, heat and extreme temperature changes.
Upon your request, we will gladly provide you with a copy of a Certificate of Compliance from the companies we have purchased that particular product from. These documents will be emailed to you.
Our herbs and spices are the freshest you can possibly receive. We only order small amounts from our companies as we do not want to have any sitting around for any length of time before they reach you. We may at some point need to order more of a certain herb/spice and have it delivered to us prior to mailing to you. With this in mind, please be aware that you may need to wait up to 1 week for them to be shipped due to you.
Herbs and spices do not generally spoil, but they do lose some potency over time, which is why we offer the sizes we do. How they are stored will play a large role in how long they retain their potency. They should be kept in paper bags, in a cool, dark, dry place. Whole herbs can last up to 3 years, cut and sifted or ground will last up to 2 years.
