Mid Century vintage ceramic dish featuring Stavangerflint artist Inger Waage's famous stylised Ladys’ FACE design with huge eyes and earrings. The vibrant vintage design was initially silk screened then hand painted, the base is signed I.V. Wagge studied at the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and art Industry in 1943 before pursuing a career as an industrial ceramist. This particular design is illustrated in a comprehensive survey of her work, Inger Waage: Design for Stavangerflint 1953–1979, recently published by Jan Gjerde in Norwegian with an English summary.

Measurements: 14 cm x 14 cm - square with rounded edges

Condition: Very good condition. There is some wear consistent with age. Please study the photographs as they form part of the description.
