RARE COLUMBIA BV GRAPHOPHONE CYLINDER PHONOGRAPH, PLAYS BUSY BEE RECORDS!
Listen to it play now as you view!
This is an extremely rare Busy Bee cylinder player that is a BV model that uses the Busy Bee type cylinder. I have never seen another one! It comes with two playable Busy Bee wax cylinders of which I created sound files for. Both records have there original cartons and one with the original correct lid top. One recording is La Marsalis, the French national march and the other is a duet by Collins and Harlan, "Susan, Kiss Me Good and Hard". This machine would date from 1905 and comes with the original 10" brass bell horn! These horns almost never turn up and when they do, they sell for $200/$250 alone. They come on Eagles, Q's, and sometimes black Edison Gems. The motor runs quietly and true. The regular Columbia BV is rare enough but one with a Busy Bee mandrel unique to the machine is unheard of. Also, it uses a giant governor that's over 3" long. About the largest known. The finish on the lid and case is totally original. The lid latches are both there, but one side may need some adjustment before it can be carried by the lid handle. Both cylinders play with some background noise. Sound files are available for both upon request. Call me up if you can't here the unity playing for any reason. The case is tiny measuring only 10" by 7". Shipping is $30.00 within the US.
