Custom build collar mount for older type Nikkor 80-200 f2.8 ED push/pull lens.

Designed to fit most modern DSLR Nikon cameras using this type of lens. It is known to fit the following models D7100, D750, D800 - please check fitting dimensions below to see if it will work with your camera. The internal diameter of the clamp section is 89mm and will be a smooth fit on the end of your push/pull lens section where the limit switch is located.

The fitting dimensions for a D750 are 43mm vertically from the lens centre to the u/side of the camera body and 35mm horizontally from the centre of the tripod hole to the mounting face of the lens. The first dimension is more important than the second as the clamp may grip anywhere along the end of the lens - the lens limit switch and the focus window fit in the open section of the clamp. That being said if the dimensions on your camera are within 3mm +/- of the first dimension or 10mm +/- of the second, this clamp should be Ok for your Nikon camera with this push/pull lens. Manufactured from carbon steel with nylon clamp and stainless steel fixings. To fit - remove lens hood (if fitted) and slide end of lens through nylon clamp and then screw standard 1/4" UNC knurled knob into camera tripod mount. Finally click the foam cushioned clip in place. The tripod mount has a 1/4" UNC tapped hole positioned at centre of gravity (c of g) to allow tripod or monopod mounting using a suitable quick release bracket (not included). The mount really comes into its own when used in portrait mode, the c of g hole balancing the lens and camera perfectly. 

This custom mount is designed to fit the Nikkor push/pull lens and unlike more expensive items can be fitted and removed without need for tools and very quickly. The clamp does not necessarily need to have the clip fitted as the lens fits very securely into the clamp section, but in some circumstances it will offer added security.

Overall dimensions 240mm Long x 130mm High x 110mm Wide. May be disassembled using M6 Allen key and 10mm spanner.
