The Nikon 105mm f2.5 is a legendary lens, very sharp beautifully made, it uses 5E in 5G.

Nikon have made the 105mm since the rangefinder days and it is one of the lenses that made Nikon their name. The lenses optical construction has changed slightly to this version (AI) and is identical to the AIS version. Either way users of the much older version report that optically they are both about equal.

105mm is ideal for portraiture.

Works fantastically well on FX Nikon cameras.

All metal barrel.

Overall Condition: Very good

External condition: Very good some minor marks here or there nothing major. Most notable- the front ring has a little paint wear, 52mm filters mount no problem.

Operational condition: Fully operational

Aperture: clean and crisp

Focus ring: ok a little stiff in one way from infinity to the first distance marker 20M other than that very tiny anomaly it smooth over the rest of the focusing distances.

Optically: There is a slight amount of fungus just under the front element around the edge and a very small mark to the coating on the edge of the rear element. Other than that its clean and free from haze.  

The lens produces some fantastic images as I have used it myself.
