Tissot company was also the first to make watches out of plastic (IDEA 2001 in 1971), stone (the Alpine granite RockWatch in 1985), mother of pearl (the Pearl watch in 1987), and wood (the Wood watch in 1988). Tissot merged with the Omega watch making family in 1930 and Tissot-Omega watches from this era are sought after by collectors.

Tissot has been a member of The Swatch Group Ltd. since 1983, the largest watch producer and distributor in the world. Still based in Le Locle, Switzerland and marketed in 160 countries around the world. Tissot watches are currently classified by Swatch Group as "mid-range market" product.

When this watch was produced, it was made for a man's wrist. Times have changed.  A watch of this size could easily be worn by a woman today and would look fantastic.

VERY RARE piece, outstanding movement, famous TISSOT calibre 2481 (same as Omega 1481), 24 jewels,  automatic winding watch, excellent condition. Vintage watch from 70's, fully working condition. It has never been polished or buffed. Acrylic glass is clear without visible scratches. Case is 20 microns of Gold Plate, in excellent condition for it's age. Stainless steel back.  Genuine Hirsch leather strap, lug width 18 mm. Keeping time in good manner. Please bear in mind that this is a old watch and should be serviced from time to time. 

Watch was recently serviced, running strong and accurate, ready to wear.

Excellent Swiss Made technology, classic, formal dress men's watch, you can see dimensions on pictures: 34mm, not including crown,  lug to lug 41 mm, lug width 18 mm, satin finish dial.

Comes with new genuine  Hirsch leather 18mm strap in mint condition.

Excellent timepiece, collectible movement.

No need to say much about Tissot as they are well known for their perfect  movements.
