I have been collecting Chinese pottery and porcelain for over 12 years and I occasionally auction a few different items so if you are interested in Chinese ceramics please put me on 'Favourites' and take a look from time to time. If you would like to see pictures of part of my collection please visit this page on my website.http://www.lynsgarden.co.uk/Rosecroft/Ceramics.html

This is a small pottery spice or sauce dish from the wreck of the 'Tek Sing' a trading vessel that sank because of a fire on board in 1822.

It measures 9cm by 2cm and is in good condition considering it's age and history.

There is a small nick out of the rim and a piece of kiln grit stuck in another part of the rim. It also shows small flaws from the manufacturing process. The glaze has been degraded by the action of seawater and there are a few marine growths in places.

I have tried to show this in the pictures. If you need more please ask.
