Hi and welcome to this auction for an outstandingly well made JTL Violin – one of the prettiest I have seen. The violin features a gorgeous one-piece maple back and has recently undergone some work including bushing of the peg holes. New pegs have been fitted and now they adjust easily and hold string tension effectively. The violin bears its two original JTL labels (photographed), and the original 'Nicolas Duchene' branding, indicating it was one of the more prized models JTL produced (photographed).

The violin is presented in a very good structural, cosmetic and playing condition. There are only three repaired cracks to the table, no damage around any sound post or bass bar areas. There are no open seams or loose blocks, and just a few minor chips to the varnish commensurate with age and use.
