The beautiful plein air / craftsman style gold leafed frame pictured above is available upon request for $57. Many of my patrons add the frame purchase to their order that way their painting arrives ready to hang in perfect condition. The back is sealed and comes with heavy duty hanging hardware installed. Let me know and I will add frame purchase to your invoice prior to check out.
IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ! Many of my paintings have thick paint and can take a while to cure completely. I will ship oil paint when it is dry to the touch so be careful when handling new paintings. The thick passages may still be a bit soft. Do not worry...with a few weeks cure time the paint will stiffen and the new aroma of natural walnut oil will fade completely.
Also, please be aware that my paintings are meant to be viewed FRAMED. As fantastical as they may be and as pleased as you might be with your winning of my unframed little masterpiece be aware that the magnitude of your ocular felicity will increase exponentially as soon as you see the painting framed. They are best viewed and enjoyed with a simple profile dark or gold leafed plein air or craftsman style frame like the one pictured. The colors, drawing and composition of the artwork will all stand out and come together in a most pleasing-to-the-eye fashion when once framed. Enjoyment of any given painting will increase greatly when viewed while FRAMED at eye level on any wall. I strongly suggest having a frame ready for its first viewing or ... drive the unopened package directly to your favorite frame shop without anyone ever seeing the painting in its naked state.
Looking for a signature? All paintings are signed prior to leaving the studio/framing...after photography. See pics above for example of my tell-tale copy-writable signature "W Hawkins" ...proof of genuine, indisputable authenticity and general snazzyness.

This painting was made in the studio. I typically work from reference images such as past paintings, studies painted from life or photographs. I have done quite a bit of painting "en plein air" but mostly I paint in the studio creating works that are either inspired by references mentioned above or from the many fond and indelible recollections of the over 3000 paintings I've made over the past 30 years .
