offered in this auction is an original orange fiberglass armshell chair designed by charles and ray eames and made by herman miller. the orange fiberglass shell sits on a zinc h-base. the chair is signed (please see pictures).
the chair looks nice, but is not in perfect condition. the shell has 2 repaired cracks (please see pictures), but the shell is firm and sturdy. due to age and use it shows of course some normal scratches, marks and scuffs, especially along the edges (please see pictures). the base shows normal wear. the shockmounts are original and in good condition. the screws were at some point replaced.
