I HAVE COLLECTED, RESTORED AND SOLD VINTAGE ELECTRONICS FOR OVER 7 YEARS ON EBAY. THIS IS ONE OF THE NICEST DYNACO SCA-35 THAT I HAVE SEEN. THE UNIT HAS BEEN FULLY TESTED, CLEANED AND LUBED. IT COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL DYNACO-BRANDED TELEFUNKEN 12AX7 TUBES, ORIGINAL DYNACO-BRANDED RCA 7199 TUBES, AND VINTAGE RCA 6BQ5/EL84 TUBES. ALL OF THE TUBES HAVE BEEN INDIVIDUALLY TESTED ON MY TV-7D/U MILITARY TUBE TESTER AND ALL TEST GOOD. I ALSO TESTED THE POWER SUPPLY CAN CAPACITORS WITH AN IN-CIRCUIT CAPACITANCE TESTER AND ALL SECTIONS TEST GOOD.
ALL THE POTS AND SWITCHES HAVE BEEN CLEANED. ALL SOLDER JOINTS HAVE BEEN INSPECTED AND ARE CLEAN. ALL THE COUPLING CAPACITORS HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH NEW SOLEN FAST CAPS FOLLOWED BY TESTING THE UNIT BY LISTENING TO IT FOR 100 HOURS (MOST DEFECTIVE NEW CAPS FAIL WITHIN THE FIRST 100 HOURS). ALL OTHER PARTS ARE ORIGINAL.
THE COSMETIC CONDITION IS EXCELLENT WITH NONE OF THE LETTERING WORN OFF. IT IS A VERY NICE UNIT. PLEASE SEE THE PICTURES ... AS THEY SAY A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS.
ALSO INCLUDED IS AN ORIGINAL DYNACO SCA-35 BOX. ITEM WILL BE PACKED IN ORIGINAL BOX WITH ORIGINAL STYROFOAM PACKING INSERTS, THEN ALL PACKED IN A SHIPPING BOX SO THAT THE ORIGINAL BOX DOES NOT GET DAMAGED. ORIGINAL BOX IS IN DECENT SHAPE BUT HAS A PREVIOUS SCA-35 OWNER'S NAME, ADDRESS AND PHONE WRITTEN ON ONE SIDE. WAS NOT THE BOX THIS SCA-35 CAME IN BUT ONE I GOT WITH ANOTHER SCA-35 ALREADY SOLD.
Description:
The SCA-35 Stereo Control Amplifier is a complete stereo preamplifier and stereo power amplifier, combined on a single chassis with a single power supply. It uses premium grade components conservatively operated. The preamplifier printed circuit module amplifies the selected low level signal for each stereo channel through two stages (the two halves of a 12AX7 tube). Dual tone controls consist of passive networks, each encapsulated in a PEC. Each power amplifier, on a separate printed circuit module, uses a 7199 tube and two 6BQ5 output tubes, along with an optimized (Dynaco Z-565) transformer. A single cathode resistor is used for all four output tubes, which necessitates matching of the tubes.
The power supply uses a transformer and silicon diode full wave rectification, and provides individual hum adjustments for each channel on the back panel, along with two ac convenience outlets. The front panel is champagne gold, anodized aluminum, with die cast knobs, and includes switches for mono-stereo, loudness compensation, filter, and power.
