Background
|
Our personal collection of silver coins arose out of shared interested in numismatics and an effort of trying to put our savings to better use given
the abysmal interest rates the banks have been paying. It wasn't
until we got some of our first Silver Maple Leafs did we fall in love
with the brilliant silvery finish. The privy marked coins were
especially beautiful against the double struck satin finish!
Our
auctions and listings of coins are painful efforts to lighten our
increasing collection by offering doubles up for sale, or at other
times freeing some cash up for other needs.
Because we obtained
these coins for our private collection, the coins are of as high a
grade as we can find. Bid or buy with confidence or ask for more
detailed pictures.

SML coins:
Canadian Silver Maple Leaf coins are simply beautiful. At 99.99% silver, they are among the purest in the world and was also honored in 2007 as one of the 12 best silver
coins in the world. In my opinion the standard and consistent maple
leaf design along with the Royal Canadian Mint's reputation for quality
and ingenuity trumps all the others.
Privy Marked SML:
In
addition to the value of silver, privy marked SML carry a numismatic
value that is very collectible and at the same time not as bloated as
commemorative coins. The finish on the privy marked SML are especially
fabulous. The brilliant shine of the standard and unchanging maple
leaf, privy mark design, and letter really pop out against the
matte/satin background. My amateur picture don't do them any justice!
The 2013 Anniversary issue Silver Maple Leafs: were In addition to regular 2013 bullion SMLs, the RCM issued a limited run of marked 25 anniversary coins, this time a bold design to celebrate the occasion. Thought marked as bullion, the finish on these SML feel different enough to warrant a second glance, changing beautifully in the light. Sure to be collectable as the wildlife series SMLs are, collect yours prior to the coins becoming scarce.
Up for auction is a sealed sheet of 10 coins. The new sealing technology leaves no air and no room for movement. No more white spots!
