About our Porsche 911 912 964 993 Sun Strip decals

Our Sun strips are manufactured from highest quality automotive vinyl. They are designed to fit along the top of the outside of the windscreen and are pre-cut to fit exactly - first time!. Available in many colours. See our website for more details. Please note that these are the same high quality decals we supply to some of the UK's most prestigious GT race series.

The sunstrips are available in two depths;

SHALLOW (SSBS) version is 120mm for road use

DEEP (SSBD) version is 165mm deep for track use or where a front roll cage is fitted with no sun visors.

We sell and ship internationally. Postage to the UK is FREE standard first class post or £5.00 for Royal Mail Special Delivery guaranteed next day service, Europe £3.50 or £8.00 for international tracked & signed for service mail. Rest of world £5.00 or £10.00 for international tracked & signed for service mail. The prices quoted covers postage for up to 10 decals. This item is shipped in an A5 hard backed envelope. Combined postage available. This item is shipped in a cardboard tube 8x20cM.

Returns Policy

We accept returns if we are notified within 14 days of despatch. Goods that are defective or damaged in transit can either be replaced free of charge or a full refund may be requested and will be processed within 3 working days of our receipt of the returned items. Goods that have been wrongly ordered may be returned at buyers expense for a full refund as long as the original item and packaging is unopened / undamaged.

About the Decals

These are computer designed. Highest standard automotive quality vinyl is machine cut under computer control to ensure maximum accuracy. These are then individually checked, at which stage they are factory packed and labeled before entering our stock control system. The vinyl used can withstand years of pressure washing without deterioration. The decals are provided individually and ready to apply to your car.

Applying the decals

Best applied dry. Recommended tools are a roll of 2" masking tape, plastic squeegee (supplied in the FREE professional fitting kit), a pair of scissiors and a sharp knife (supplied in the FREE professional fitting kit). Use two pieces of masking tape to accurately position the decal along the top of the screen. Use a piece of 2" masking to form a vertical hinge at the centre of the screen. Working from one side, hold the decal at 90degrees away from the screen at the hinge and peel the backing release paper away leaving the front application paper with the vinyl sunstrip attached. Use the scissors to cut away the backing paper near to the hinge. Smooth the decal down from the hinge to the edge of the screen using the squeegee in a herringbone pattern until the decal is smoothly applied without any air bubbles. Remove the masking tape hinge and repeat out towards the other end of the screen. Finally trim to shape (using the supplied blade) taking care not to cut the rubber windscreen surround. There may be a couple of small air bubbles trapped between the vinyl sunstrip and the glass windscreen. It is normal for these to 'out-gas' over 24 hours. Any larger bubbles can be squeezed in to an area and the bubble burst with a pin or craft knife and the air forced out by running your finger along the bubble to the hole.

Vinyl decals may be removed if required without leaving any marks by use of a heat gun to soften the vinyl adhesive, and then picking or peeling.
