I am a large 36 waist and can put on the small hip belt with inches left over. If it is being worn over multiple layers of heavy winter garments it might be snug on a 36" waist.

Mint: I can't find anything wrong with it, it is clean (however washing is always recommended for a used item), not faded, everything looks like new, including the labels/tags and works just like brand new. Some straps may still be folded from the factory.
Excellent: Similar to Mint except it may have light markings somewhere or very light dust in places(again washing is always recommended for a used item).
Good: Everything works and there are no tears, rips, though there may be some repairs that have already been made to the item, fading of item or pin holes and it most likely needs washing.
Poor: Most likely need some repair, but is usable and most likely dirty.

These items are used, but are in good shape - no holes, rips, etc. They may have wear, stains or need more washing.
The zippers and fastners were working when tested.
It is recommended to wash prior to using to avoid allergic reaction to previous owner's cleaning products.

I personally inspect, sort, and pack all packs and lots of packs. Dirtier lids, hydration packs, assault packs and sometimes main packs and belts are run through a wash cycle in a top load washer with water only in most cases and then allowed to naturally line dry. These are used items and this will not remove everything and I recommend you wash them to your own satisfaction. Upon receiving the lot/item, you will find the packs with most buckles buckled, zippers zipped and loose straps tucked in a secure place if possible, as this is one last inspection as they are being packed for shipment as well as packing in a way that has shown to protect them. Do not open the package with a knife or sharp object as you risk damaging the pack. Thank you in advance for your purchase!
